Bookshop Bivar

Great to have a shop in Lisbon full of English-language books! I received some credit for a book I brought in and bought two to take travelling with me. Six and seven Euros for second-hand books seems a bit steep to me - I just now learned that there is a discount section downstairs! Good selection of books. Pleasant service.

Wonderful little used book store. There’s a whole section on early edition books- some quite rare. And everything is at very fair prices. I bought a biography on EB White, a bilingual book of danish literature (English and original Danish), and a very old book of letters. The owner was warm and welcoming. They’re also dog friendly- they had toys to keep my canine companion entertained, and she got a treat before we left. All around a great experience. Highly recommend!

Lovely bookstore with a wide array of different genres and titles. I was definitely left surprised with the sheer amount of books the store offers. Some of the prices were a bit steep but the books were very well preserved in that case. Also, the lady that worked today was really nice and friendly. Definitely coming back. 😊

This bookshop holds a fantastic collection of second-hand English books. The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable - we had a great time here. We will absolutely come back when we return to Lisbon.

What a delight! I was keen to visit a English-language used bookshop after having lived so many years in France, where it's not so easy to find used English books. We were greeted by the owner, who was such a delight to talk with, and who appears to be well integrated into the local community. There are two levels of books covering the whole gamut of subjects, and the selection was good. This sort of shop deserves to keep going, so if you're interested in augmenting your physical library, this is a must-stop!
